Are you staying in NSW during the summer holidays? The DE International Summer Holidays Program offers high-quality study programs, day trips, tours and activities to help you make the most of your school holidays. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet new people, learn new skills and give yourself the best start to 2021.
---
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place in NSW and the changing situation with a number of clusters across Sydney, we have received health advice that changes must be made to the DE International Summer Holidays Program to keep students, staff and the community safe.
We understand this will be disappointing to many students, their families and carers and also staff, however we hope that you understand that everyone’s safety is our priority.
Please see the information under each activity heading below for updated information.
All trips and activities are open to students who:
The Study Programs are open to all students in Years 9-12 enrolled in a NSW government school through the international students program, including those living with their parents or in a parent nominated homestay.
The Sports & Fun Days are open to all students in Years 7-12 enrolled in a NSW government school through the international students program, including those living with their parents or in a parent nominated homestay.
The program is not available to students enrolled through the temporary residents program.
There are different activities on offer each week in January. It’s your summer holiday so build your own program by choosing the activities that interest you. Please note that the Discover NSW option and Sports & Fun Days take place at the same time so you will not be able to choose both. There are limited places available in each activity so apply early to avoid disappointment.
Study programs and day trips will be COVID safe and fully supervised by NSW Department of Education staff members with valid Working With Children Checks.
The English Language Development and Study Skills & HSC preparation programs, which were originally scheduled for January, have been postponed to the autumn school vacation period in April 2021.
The high quality programs are developed and taught by our NSW government school teachers. Boost your confidence and start the 2021 school year ready to achieve your best.
