NSW Government Schools International Student Ambassador Program Professional Development Day

The inaugural NSW Government Schools International Student Ambassador Program (ISAP) Professional Development Day was held at the University of Sydney Centre for Continuing Education on 24 June 2023.

Nine international student ambassadors completed a 'Design and Innovation Thinking Course', exploring different models focused on human-centred design and learning how to tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions. The course covered important topics such as problem definition, continuous improvement, and creative thinking processes.

Feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive, with ambassadors praising the practical exercises and collaborative atmosphere. They expressed excitement about developing their innovative thinking skills and showed keen interest in additional training opportunities.

ISAP ambassadors are alumni of NSW government schools who demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic achievement, or volunteerism during their schooling. As international student ambassadors, they mentor prospective and current students and provide input to policies and initiatives for international students in NSW government schools.
